Kirialax saga, an Icelandic riddara saga, an Icelandic derivative of medieval romance, which has been preserved in manuscripts from the fifteenth to the eighteenth century, is belived to have been written in the fourteenth century, being attributed to various ecclesiastical personalities, for example, Jon Halldorsson, bishop of Skalholt, Berger Sokkason and his disciples or some other priest. Kirialax saga, however, supplements typical romance pattern with some elements of heroic biography, such as the interest in all stsges of the heroꞌs life.
